José Gabriel González, born on 19 March 1928 in Camagüey, Cuba passed on 19 March 2022 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida hours after celebrating his birthday with his family. He is survived by his loved ones, Eva (granddaughter), Kay (daughter-in-law), and Irving (son).  He joined his wife of 52 years, Miriam, whom passed on 9 July 2008, for one last birthday celebration on his 94th year of life.

Mr. G as he was lovingly called by his Fordham sons and daughters, their spouses and children, left Cuba in 1956 for New York City where he met Miriam and married her 90 days later.  They were together until her passing in 2008. He worked as a pipe fitter all his life in order to give his family everything that he never had. He made sure that his son was afforded every opportunity in life and helped him to become an attorney. He was a wonderful husband and excellent father and a friend to all that had the pleasure of meeting him. He loved to make his Fordham sons laugh and enjoy their time with him.

The public visitation will be held on March 23, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, Hollywood Boulevard Chapel, 6400 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, FL 33024.

The Tributes of a Lifetime service will begin at 7:00 PM.
