Jose Miguel Ortega Leon, age 72, of Hollywood, Florida passed away unexpectedly in an accident on November 13, 2025. He was born in Camaguey, Cuba on March 21, 1953.

He was preceded in death by his father, Maurilio Ortega Ruiz.

Jose Miguel is survived by his mother, Angela “Lina” Leon Romero; his wife, Lucero Rojas de Ortega; son, Roady Ortega; daughters: Lisday Bernos and Diana Prada Rojas; step-daughter, Giovanna Florez; grandchildren: Thomas Miguel Bernos (Celanda Bernos), Lander Ortega Dias (Estafany Sandoval Amaya), Daniel Leon Bernos, and Isabella Elsa-Marie Bernos; great-granddaughters: Serenity Luna Bernos and Adela Ortega Sandoval; sister, Maria Felicia Ortega Leon; sisters-in-law: Maria Josefina Espitia and Elizabeth Rojas Espitia; nieces: Grechy Rodriguez Ortega and Diosmila Martinez Ortega; great-nieces: Jeisika de Armas Rodriguez (Armando Ventura) and Erika Menas Martinez; great-great nephew, Heichel Ventura de Armas and family and friends in Cuba and Colombia.
