It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Julio Felipe Chang, age 83, of Weston, Florida. Julio passed away on October 12, 2023 and was a loving father, husband, and grandparent. He was born in Lima, Peru on April 12, 1940 to Kwong Sang Chang and Victoria Chi Pen Wu where he lived for about 8 years before his family moved back to China. He eventually returned to Peru where he would meet his eventual wife, Flora, and then to Miami by way of New York.
While in Miami he had several businesses and worked as a realtor for over 30 years. He spoke Spanish, English, Mandarin, and Cantonese and was able to assist many families settle into the US. He always said if he could help someone then he would always do so. Lending a helping hand is one legacy Julio will leave that will always be remembered.
Julio enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling. He always had a fondness for eating out and sharing an afternoon coffee with friends and family. He also liked being handy and trying to fix and repair things on his own.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Flora, and their two children, Raymond and Joyce. He was also a cherished grandfather to four grandchildren, Andrea, Amanda, Drew, and Violet, who all adored
their Kun-kun beyond measure. He also leaves behind two younger brothers, Enrique Chang and Jose
Chang.
A Graveside service for Julio will be held on October 20, 2023 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery,
11411 NW 25th Street, Miami, FL.
