It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Kamaria Nailah King on January 6th, 2024.  She was a vibrant soul who graced our lives with her beautiful smile, warm heart, joyful spirit, and amazing personality.  Kamaria was born on May 31st, 2011 to Rashan King and Shenalla Naylor in Hollywood, Florida.

Kamaria, affectionately known as our princess, possessed an amazing spirit filled with love, peace, joy, kindness, curiosity, and innocence.  She loved to dance, learn new things, draw, paint, and read.  She took great pleasure in taking care of others, especially her younger siblings.  She took great pride in being mature, responsible, and respectful.  She strongly believed in fairness and selflessness. Her number one goal in life was to be a good person and she strived to achieve it.

The name Kamaria means ‘like the moon’, and just like the moon she shined brightly.

She leaves behind her parents Rashan King and Shenalla Naylor, sisters Yakiri Turner, Ashanti King, Karimah Scott, and Mariah King, brother Rashan King Jr, grandmother Patricia Blackman, grandfathers Tracy King and Ricardo Cruz, aunts Brenalla Naylor, Sonya Green, Barbra Blackman, Janice King-Longo, and Tameera McKnight (Best Friend), uncles Christopher Naylor, Tionne and Gregory King, great grandmother Mary Blackman, and godfather Brandon Lanier.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Christine Simmons McKnight.

Let us remember Kamaria and celebrate the memories she left us with and the light she brought into our lives, her zest for life, and her unwavering love for those around her.

Let us be inspired by the life she lived and pray that our hearts can be just as gentle.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, February 3, 2024, 12:00 PM also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
