I share your loss. Kathy Boyd’s death has left such a void in my heart, as I’m sure in many others. She has such a special spot in the lives of many people that knew her. Kathy never said no to a request of her time, talent, or treasure. She was such a gift to her family, friends, and to her beloved St. Stephen Church & School. May she rest in peace with her beloved Don.

Well, I have an interesting story to share. It seems when Peggy , the Church cleaning lady, heard about the death of Kathy Boyd, shortly after, she had an anxiety attack, worrying about Kathy’s dearest friends,Carolyn and Josephine and how they were handling it. Well, it seems Peggy had a hard time breathing, and finally 911 was called in, and she was taken to hospital. She is now home, and fine, but, because of the anxiety attack caused by news of Kathy, they discovered fluid on her heart, which, otherwise would have gone undetected. Peggy is now saying Kathy saved her life. Even in death, Kathy is still doing good for us here on earth.

Dear Pat, Caren, Larry, Linda and Family:

It is 1:15 am on a Monday morning and I just happened to be surfing the web and I was shocked to read the news about Kathy. Your family has endured so much in so little time, and you still have to carry on the day to day business of managing the funeral home. I cannot imagine how that must feel.

Your mother Kathy was a wonderful lady. She was so good to me and my family. So supportive. So kind.

It must be a terrible loss for all of you. Pat, the last time we spoke you told me that your Mom was doing OK, trying to adjust to her life without your Dad. I am sorry so very sorry for your loss. I realize that we all have to endure this, it is a part of life after all, but when I learn of someone who is directly affected by death, it really shocks me. There are no words to say to you, that will take the pain away but please accept our prayers our thoughts and our love to you and the Boyd family. Your Mother your

Father and Your family will forever have a place in our hearts.

May God Wrap His Arms Around You so That You Know His Presence

Dear Patrick & Family,

Our hearts ache for you in the death of your mother Katherine. I remember meeting your mother in 2003 when visiting your firm. Mrs. Boyd was a gracious, warm first impression, that I’ve never forgotten.

Being a funeral director, thousands of people look to you to “do the right thing” when a loved one leaves our side. Undoubtedly, you’ve modeled the perfect farewell for mom, leaving no regrets, or unspoken “I love you’s.”

Honoring the legacy that your mother and father created in the late 1940’s is demonstrated in the effort and investment you have put into your facilities. You honor your parents, and your community with your care and compassion.

I know that there is a part of your mom that wants to be there still.

Thanks to the lessons that she taught you, there is a part of her that always will.

Fondly,

Brian & Anne Geib Hanner
