Kathleen Rowan Fanelli, age 88 of Pembroke Pines, Florida, passed away at her residence on November 3, 2023. She was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on April 1, 1935 to the late John and Bridget Rowan.
She was also preceded in death by her 8 siblings and her husband, Frank Fanelli.
Kathleen is survived by her children: Doreen (Metin) Basaran, Frank (Patty) Fanelli, Jr. and Lisa (Gordon) Aubry; grandchildren: Kristina (Alex) Warila, Jessica Fanelli and Francesca Basaran; great-grandchildren: Emery Rose Warila and Easton Cole Warila and brother, Gerad (Anscell) Rowan.
Funeral Mass to be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at St. Mark Catholic Church, 5601 South Flamingo Road, Southwest Ranches, Florida 33330.
Followed by Graveside Service at Hollywood Memorial Gardens North Cemetery, 3001 N. 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, Florida 33024.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to her favorite charity St. Jude Childrens Hospital at stjude.org

I don’t know what life looks like without you. You have always been there for me !
You were my babysitter, my tooth fairy ,my chauffeur( until I drove you ) and most of all my best friend . I am so sad and broken hearted that you have left me here in this physical world but I know you and pop-pop will watch over and guide me throughout my life. Grandma, you did it !!!! You told me you wanted to see me make first communion, confirmation, sweet 16 and most of all to see me graduate HS and head to college . I will miss you calling me and telling me you are my biggest cheerleader.
