We will miss our “brother”, Ken. All the years of poor health are over and he is where we all long to be eventually, resting with the Lord. Love to all the Hasselbach family.

I wish I could be with you to remember my godfather, Fr. Ken. I will be thinking of him and of all the Hasselbachs from way over on the west coast. With love and prayers, Lisa

Thinking of you and wishing we could be there with you to remember and celebrate Fr. Ken’s life. I have so many wonderful memories of times spent with him and the whole Hasselbach family over the years. I’ll miss him, yet am thankful, too, that he is at peace. Much, much love to you all.

Ken, may choirs of angels sing you into paradise. Be at peace – and enjoy being home with your mom and dad, and with all the aunts and uncles, and Barbara! Though I haven’t seen you in ages, I feel an emptiness knowing you are gone! But I know that you are with the Lord, and that every tear has been wiped from your eye. I’ll be looking for you when I arrive in the Kingdom – we have lots of catching up to do! Love, Richie

Cousin Ken, you were a grown-up when I was your little cousin visiting your home in New Hyde Park, Long Island. My best memories of Christmas were of Aunt Jo and Uncle Norman’s home with the decorations and warmth of the special day. Aunt Jo played her piano and we sang songs around the tree. Dinner was a wonderful array, and Aunt Grace your God Mother was always with us. I have tried to emulate your family’s Christmas ever since I have had my own gatherings. I can still see you sitting in the living room with your siblings and other cousins. Chuck played the drums in the basement, and Liz showed me her beautiful new watch-ring!! I hope you will know how much you and your family played a role in the formation of my love for Christmas and Family. God bless you.

Ken and I grew up together and went to Holy Ghost School, in New Hyde Park, Long Island, New York.

We became re-acquainted after decades a few years ago and began exchanging letters.

May he rest in Peace!
