Kirk Andrew Urquhart was born on December 19, 1974 in St. Andrew, Jamaica and after a valiant battle with cancer, passed away on September 28, 2019.
Beloved son of Stella (Holstein) Urquhart of Grenada and William Alfred Urquhart of Kingston Jamaica, Kirk was an avid traveler, traveling often between his home in South Florida, to Jamaica, to international movie sets across the globe.
Kirk graduated in 1993 from Miramar High School and then attended Florida International University where, in 1997, he earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) with a double major in Finance and Marketing. While he pursued a career in the world of finance, having worked at SunTrust and Bank of America, his true love was working as a body-double in movies and television. Some of his notable appearances included the television series Burn Notice and Ballers and the films Iron Man Three, Pain and Gain, Sicario, and, soon to be released, Bad Boys Three.
Affectionately called ‘Captain Kirk,’ he was an aficionado of soccer as well as track & field and loved good music, good friends, family, and enjoying life to its fullest.
He is survived by his mother Stella Urquhart, his sister, Judi Urquhart; uncle Winston Holstein, aunt and uncle, Jennifer and Christopher Virtue; nieces Zoë and Alyssa Harris; and innumerable cousins including: Aisha Virtue, Shani Virtue, Omari Virtue, Kafi Virtue, Norman Urquhart, Troy Urquhart, Blake Urquhart, Scott Urquhart, Patrice Urquhart-Green, Kara Green, Kenneth Green, Camille Urquhart, Alison Urquhart, David Urquhart, Alexis Urquhart, Ashley Urquhart, Andrew Urquhart, Gail Clarke, Jelani McFarlane, Michelle Clark, Devon Clarke, Justin Clarke, Brandon Clarke, Taurin Clarke, Jamie Clarke, Pamela Miller, Sabrina Cooke, Carlos Hermida, Aaliyah Hermida, Phillip Miller, Kelly Cain, Christopher Miller, Justin Miller, Tina Miller, Jason Price, Sean Soares, Frank Patrick Urquhart, Heather Urquhart, Frank (Dave) Urquhart, Dahlia Henry, Faith (Betty) McCook, Jewell Spencer, Vilma McDonald, Patrick McDonald, Michelle McDonald, Tonia McDonald, Marjorie Russell Long, Aldington Russell, Jr., Julian Alexander, Aldington Russell, III, Dealena Russell, Maria Russell, Jahmina Russell, Bancroft Hall, Serema Hall, Turquoise Hall, Hugh Fagan, Joy Fagan, Clayton Fagan, Sonia Fagan-Steward, Lydia Fagan Crooks, Diane Burke, Michael Burke, Patrick Burke and Dennis Anderson.
Kirk will be deeply missed by heart-broken friends, family, and colleagues who are still in shock at the life of this warm, beautiful, kind-spirited person, being cut short much too soon. We will miss his kindness and his smiles. May God keep Kirk and hold him in everlasting peace and love.
Memorial Services to be held on Sunday, October 13, 2019 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel, followed by reception from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

So sorry to hear of Kirk's passing. Gone too soon.
To Aunt Stella and Judi, may the memories comfort you.
A vivid memory I have is of him as a child, wrapping himself in the drapes in our living room. I remember him as an active child.
Thank you for the photos showing Kirk with the other Urquharts.
Rest In Peace.

Memories of you, Kirk, flash across my mind now unfiltered. Such a cool and gentle soul. You fought a good fight and the rest is now history. In the midst of life, we are in death. Rest on, my friend.
