My deepest condolences for the loss of your beautiful mother. She had a kindred spirit that she shared with the world. Now she rests with the Lord Our Savior and her suffering has ended. May you take comfort in knowing that she is at peace. God bless you all as you grieve. Remember that I will always be there for each of you. I love you all.

Rafael and Lilian were my neighbors in Carol City, Florida. When I had cancer in 1998, Lilian made sure I ate everyday by cooking for me and bringing it over to me. Every morning and every evening, for 2 weeks! I had to finally tell her to stop! I was feeling better and was now able to cook myself. (she probably would have continued to cook for me all year) I really appreciated that though. When I was down and not feeling good, she was there always with a smile. I had my first pasteles at Rafael and Lilians at Christmas time. She gave me a plantain smasher from the Dominican Republic in which I still have and use today. I am sad that she has passed, but have to remember she is now in the presence of the Lord, and what better place to be! She is now home…her REAL home waiting for the rest of us to join her. Prayers to the Suazo family.
