JONES, Lois Lorraine of Davie, Florida passed away November 21, 2007. Lois was born 1938 in Chicago, Illinois. She is survived by her husband Earle Jones, her daughters LaVerne Jones of Loxahatchee and Kelle Jones of Coral Gables and her granddaughter Krystyna Marie Ermer. Other family includes her dearest sisters Claudette Mitcham of Weirsdale, Florida and Nancy Peter of Plantation, and her many nieces and nephews in Florida and Georgia. Lois was known for her generosity and flair for life, she was the original genuine ‘fashionista’. Her ‘fabulosity’ extended into all areas of her life, her home is a testament to her sense of color and style. Lois worked for Eastern Airlines in Miami Florida and later retired from American Express in Plantation Florida. May she rest in peace with her son, Steven Fein, who passed away earlier this year in June. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that any donations be made in Lois’s name to the Davie Police 10-24 Club or the Humane Society.

Dear Earle and family,

Lois was the barrel racing “MOM” we all adored. She was always their cheering Laverne on whether it was a local show or driving half way across the country with her. Laverne, I was sorry to read about your Mom’s passing. She was only a year older than me. You and your family are in my prayers. She sounded like the kind of lady that I would have liked to meet. If you’re anything like her, I’m sure I truly missed out. Let me know how you are, etc. Are you still with the Davie Police?

I met Lois when she worked at Eastern Airlines in Miami. I worked with her as a Vendor at there Reservation Center and later as a co-worker at the American Express Service Center in Plantation. She was a genuine friend, mentor, and one of the nicest persons I have ever met. She has always been in my thoughts, since she retired from American Express a few years ago. Even though I have not talked with her in a couple of years, I will miss her.
