Lois Warner

Lois Warner

February 26, 1936~March 15, 2022

Lois H. Warner, age 86, of West Park, Florida, passed away March 15, 2022. She was born in Keansburg New Jersey to the late Louis and Grace LeComte. Lois was preceded in death by her loving husband Ronald of 67 years.

In 1958, Lois and her husband Ronald moved from New Jersey to Florida to be closer to Ronald’s parents. South Florida is where they called home as Lois loved the sunshine and the beaches. Lois was known to her family as “Fraggel” a nickname they called her from the Fraggle Rock character from the Muppets. This nickname came about because Lois loved having a tight perm. You would often find Lois volunteering for the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, anything that had to do with children, extremely devoted. Once she saw an ad in the newspaper for Discovery Museum which is now called Museum of Discovery and Science, Lois was the Volunteer Coordinator for 30 Years.

Lois was preceded in death by her two children; Patti Warner and Laura Warner- Landi. When her daughter Patti passed away; Lois continued to care for her 30 feral cats.

Today, she is survived by her children; Deborah Hiatt and husband John,  Ronald Warner and Donna Rameriz and her husband Carlos.  She has four Grandchildren; Ronnie, Carlos, Rebecca and Jessica and Eleven Great grandchildren.

Thank you for letting me know. I have fond memories of working with Lois at the Museum. If there is a memorial made in her name, please let me know. Do you need money for cat food? I can send a check.

Laura and myself would like to express our deepest sympathy to my dear sister-in-laws family in South Florida. So glad that we got to spend some time with her in February when we traveled to the area.
Many great memories we have spending New Year Eves with her and my brother Ron during the 70s and 80s.
Best liver and onions I have ever eaten. She will certainly be missed.
Again, so sorry for your and our loss.
I pray we will all see her again, she is certainly with our Lord.
All the best, with love, Steve & Laura Warner.

I’m not sure why Lois popped into my head today. It’s been decades since I worked with her at the Discovery Center in the early 80’s. She was the glue and the morale keeper at one of my favorite places to work. Her passing on the on Ides of March, (last year) will stick in my head now as it was the same date my late Grandmother passed 21 years before Lois. My condolences and sympathy still to her family. It must’ve been a hoot to call her family. Much love and blessings.❤
