He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Janice, and children: Diane (Greg) Nowak, Paul Gach, Mark (Mila) Gach and Elizabeth Anne, including 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous relatives.

His parents were Andrew Gach and Mary Olesak Gach, with brothers and sisters Daniel Gach, Marion Fearon and Johanna Culinski. He is survived by sister Frances Gach, sister Marjorie (Jim) VanDorne, and brother Charles’ wife (JoAnn) Gach.

He graduated from Michigan State University, proudly served his country in the army in Korea, andobtained his masters degree in electrical engineering after his service.

He was employed as an Engineer, by Sperry Rand / Unisys for his entire career, retiring as a Program Manager handling Unisys Navy contracts.

He and his family enjoyed living in Connecticut, Virginia and Florida over the years where many celebrations, holidays and good times were spent with family and friends.

Louis had a strong Christian faith, always looking for ways to help others and ways to serve the Lord.

He remained strong for his age, until this last year when an illness and fall required hospitalization.  After celebrating his 94th birthday, he was allowed to return home with hospice care, where he was quickly welcomed into his heavenly home.

Although our family will sorely miss him, we celebrate his life, and look forward to being together in eternity.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to his church:

We celebrate Lou’s great home coming where there is no doubt that he heard, “well done my faithful servant, enter into your REST. Lou was a great friend, a father figure as well as an encourager with his humor and optimistic attitude. I know without a doubt that Lou will be there in that great cloud of witnesses when his friends and family enter in to their rest, he will be the one that comes up with a great big small and say, “what too you so long, I thought you would never get here, it seems like eternity since I left. We love you Lou and already miss your smile.
