In Loving Memory of Manuel Antonio Padilla
1957 – 2025
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Manuel Antonio Padilla, who left this world peacefully on November 10, 2025, at home, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. He was 68 years old.
Born in Santa Clara, Cuba, Manny’s life was one of dedication, laughter, and deep love for the people and places that meant the most to him. After coming to the United States, he built a remarkable 30-year career with the Florida Marine Patrol and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. His work reflected his lifelong respect for nature and his commitment to serving and protecting others.
Manny was so much more than his work — he was a man who truly lived. He loved to travel, to cook, and to share those moments with family and friends. He had a special way of lighting up any room he entered and could turn an ordinary day into something memorable. North Carolina always held a special place in his heart, and in recent years he found great peace and happiness spending time by the lake in Avon Park.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Lupe, his two sons, Anthony and Christopher, his daughter-in-law, Erica, and his beloved grandchildren, Austin and Amelia, who brought him endless pride and joy. He is also survived by his loving father-in-law, Paul, his brother, Elpidio, and his sister, Noemi Esther, along with many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Manny’s warmth, humor, and generosity will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in every story shared, every meal cooked with love, and every moment spent by the water he loved so much.
Visitation will take place on Monday, November 17th, from 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 8:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel.

Such great memories of Manolito and I’m very sorry for the loss. He always went out of his way to take me out to eat or to the movies during my visits to Miami when I was younger.
