In Loving Memory of Maggie Rodriguez

Margarita “Maggie” Rodriguez passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in Moca, Dominican Republic to Abelino and Maria Urena, Maggie was one of 8 siblings in a very close-knit family. In the late 1950s, her family relocated to New York, where Maggie would meet the love of her life, Mario, with whom she shared 55+ years of marriage until his passing in 2021.

A true matriarch, Maggie was the heart of her family — a source of strength, unconditional love and fierce loyalty.  She was a most loving mother to Michelle, Mario (Kimberly), Michael, Marlene, Marlon (Diana) and Monalisa (Marcos). She adored her grandchildren, Alexandria, Samantha, Megan, Michael Anthony, Logan, Marcus, Rebecca, Julia, Aliciya, Anthony, Aaliyah, Bianca (Andrew), Marcello and great-grandchildren, Sonny, Dominic and Solana.

Maggie’s warmth extended far beyond her immediate family. Maggie welcomed everyone into her home with delicious meals, generous smiles, and music that filled the air — especially her favorite bachatas. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave, the traditions she nurtured, and the memories she created.

Rest in peace, Maggie. You will forever be missed.
