Mariano Fidel Pino was born on July 26th, 1935, in Santiago de Cuba. He was the youngest child of Miquel and Maria Pino and grew up alongside his siblings Maria “Susana”, Miquel, and Elena Margarita. He was father to Antonio Miguel Pino, father-in-law to Maria Eugenia Montanez, uncle to Miquel “Miguelin” Calvo, Teresa “Theresita” Calvo Mills, Maria Elena and Wilfredo Reyes, and a grandfather to Antonio Montanez, Alexander Montanez, and Vincent Montanez Pino. His legacy extended further as a great grandfather to Jackson Antonio, Vivian Diane, Julia Rose, and Kaia Alessandra Pino.

Mario worked in the shipping industry over twenty-five years in the New York City area. He was a member of the Gilda’s Club of South Florida. Mario enjoyed traveling and helping his neighbors who were ill.

On February 15, 2025, Mariano “Mario” Pino passed away at Memorial Regional Hospital South, Hollywood, Florida.

A private ceremony will be held for family and friends.
