December 10, 1956~November 02, 2022

Marilyn L. Soltanipour, age 65, a loving mother of two, and adoring wife to husband Abdi Soltanipour, passed away in the late hours of November 2nd, 2022, after a courageous months long battle at Memorial Hospital in Miramar.

Marilyn was born in 1956 in Cuba and moved to the United States on December 26, 1962.  Her vocation first and foremost was wife and mother. She worked for many years as a paralegal.  Marilyn spent hours upon hours volunteering her time to causes close to her heart.

She chaired the Education Advisory Board for the City of Pembroke Pines as well as being a large part of PTA, School Advisory Boards. This afforded her the ability to advocate for the children. She also was very involved in local politics as well as state and national campaigns.  She always wanted to make a difference, and so she did.

Marilyn wanted to share with the world her love of crafts. Through scrapbooking, bible journaling, and other handmade gifts, she poured so much of herself into her crafts. Her crafts were remarkable and brought joy for all who were fortunate enough to see them.  Many people have possession of her creations because she loved to share her beautiful gift with as many as she could. So many people tried to pay her with money but she would always decline and accept their smiles and happiness as payment.  For her that was more precious than any monetary value.

As a friend, she was one of the best people to have in one’s life. She was always there with a shoulder to lean on, a contagious laugh anyone could join, and an understanding and sometimes fierce political debater, In most cases.  Marilyn was more like a sister than a friend. Between the group of 16 and the Fuc-ah-wees, we would say she made quite the impression.

Marilyn was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman. She was always giving her time to others, but most of all, she dedicated her time to motherhood. As a mother, she was generous, loving, and kind. She spoiled her children as much as she could, but was stern when she needed to be. When Marilyn became a grandmother, she was absolutely thrilled about her family growing larger, for we know family meant everything to her

Marilyn was famous for her Caesar salad dressing, piccadillo, and breaded steak. Every holiday, she would go above and beyond. These were the days her cooking and creativity shone brightest. Being surrounded by family and friends was always important on holidays, and to this day many say these were their favorite memories of spending the holidays at The Soltanipour’s House.

As a wife, Marilyn poured her heart and soul into her marriage. Anyone can agree that the love between her and Abdi was something out of a movie. When she moved, he moved. Any couple faces disagreements in their marriage. But Marilyn and Abdi always had each other’s best interests at heart. Their love never faltered through the years, and that kind of love only happens once in a life time.

We know we can’t have you here with us. But we are happy knowing that God has you reunited with your loved ones in heaven. We say goodbye to a wonderful woman, a beautiful wife, a loving mother, and most of all, our best friend.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Abdi Soltanipour; sons: Shahab Soltanipour and Kyle Soltanipour and his wife, Kathryn and grandson, Luka Soltanipour.

Arrangements entrusted to: Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.

There will be a memorial/celebration of life held at their family home on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022, starting at 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Please contact Marilyn’s family for more details.
