Wasicsko, Matthew, 65, of Plantation, Florida, passed away unexpectedly in his long-time home. Born in Yonkers, New York, he was raised in Hialeah, Florida, where his family moved early in his life. He graduated from Monsignor Edward Pace High School in Opa Locka, Florida  in 1972, and served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1973-1977, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He married Dolores (née Palmacci) in 1981. He worked in a variety of industries, at times taking on multiple jobs to support his family. He retired in 2014 from Wireless Maritime Services. Matthew enjoyed photography, golf, cooking, and was an avid experimenter in many facets of life.

He is survived by his children: Brandon Wasicsko of Annapolis, Maryland, Lorrin Wasicsko of Plantation, Florida, and Kelsey Hilton (Jackie) of Brewer, Maine; his mother: Margaret Wasicsko of Hialeah, Florida; his sister: Nikki Schick (Roger) of Pembroke Pines, Florida, and his brothers: M. Mark Wasicsko (Peggy) of Lexington, Kentucky and Jonathan Wasicsko (Bonnie) of Pembroke Pines, Florida. He was preceded by his father Michael in 2001 and his wife Dolores in 2008.

A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday June 22, 2019 from 3:00 until 4:00 PM with Tributes of A Lifetime at 3:30 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 North University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name, in support of breast cancer research or to the National Wildlife Federation.
