Miguel Julio Bonilla was born March 1st of 1952 in Santiago, Dominican Republic. His parents were Simeon and Paulina Bonilla. He had three siblings: Margarita, Altagracia, and Antonio. Sadly, his Mother passed when he was 17 years old in 1964. Then, that’s when he moved to El Barrio aka “Spanish Harlem”, New York with his grand mother Julia Nunez. He met Carol at work October of 1979. They fell in love and married May 2nd of 1981. They had 2 boys: Michael & Brandon. They lived in Brownsville Brooklyn, New York until the summer of 1992. They resided to Hollywood, Florida. Carol and Miguel were together for 43 years. In addition to there 2 kids, they had 3 grandchildren: Brandon, Guy, and Emmanuel.
Miguel and Carol enjoyed watching their own boys play baseball. Miguel taught his boys and grandkids how to Box and defend themselves. Miguel loved history, science, and astrology. Also, had a black belt in Martial Arts. He loved watching CNN and cooking. Most of all, he was a Warrior. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
Family and friends are welcomed to attend the visitation for Miguel on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm at our University Drive location; 1600 North University Drive, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024. Funeral Service will begin at 1:30 PM.
