August 12, 1939~November 13, 2020

Nancy E. Wright, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on November 13, 2020 at age 81.

Nancy was born in Oceanside, New York on August 12, 1939.  She grew up there before moving to Centereach, New York where she met her husband William Wright (Bill) in 1962. They married in April of 1963. She fulfilled one of her dreams several years later when she and Bill moved their family to Hollywood, Florida in 1968.

Nancy was a kind, generous and caring person who always put others before herself.  She greeted all – including those she met for the first time – with a hug and kiss, and said: “You never know if this will be your last”.

She held a special place in her heart for family; it was her life’s calling.  Family gatherings, especially holidays, made her the happiest. Her grandchildren, growing into adulthood, loved to surprise her at Christmas by showing up unannounced. This always brought a smile to her face.  As children, they had frequent sleepovers at Nancy and Bill’s house.  They could always look forward to endless hours of her favorite game – Yahtzee. She never forgot a birthday or holiday; you could always count on receiving a card from her. They were always signed Love Always, XOXOXO.

Nancy enjoyed cruises with Bill, summers in Maine, spending time in Ormond Beach, or just visiting friends and family throughout the country. One of Nancy’s favorite travel adventures was a recent visit to Graceland in Memphis. She was an avid fan of Elvis Presley.

Nancy was passionate about exercise and loved to walk; often saying “there was no better exercise”.  For many years she bowled in a league and participated in tournaments.  She loved swimming with her grandchildren and taught most of them how to swim.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Lillian Hauser, sisters Shirley VanBourgondien and Patricia (Took) Darmetko.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years William Wright;  her children: John (Leta) Bozek, Patricia (Dave) Januszkiewicz, Sheila (Robert) Mayhew, Kathleen Bozek, and Linda Wright (John) Malin; her grandchildren: Jessica (Michael) Estes, William (Courtney) Segal, Joel Serna, Christopher (Anna) Segal, Lindsay Bozek, Adam Bozek, Timothy Segal, Shawn Segal, and Breanna Segal; her great grandchildren: Jasmine Serna, Landyn Bozek-Adams, William Estes, and Koral Bozek; her Siblings: Lillian (Sis) Wykert, Richard Hauser, Christine Jenkins, and Barbara Hauser; her Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews

She will be in our thoughts and hearts forever … until we meet again.

Love Always, XOXOXO from your beloved husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
