Olga (Villafane) Valencia – (March 2, 1939 – March 16, 2025)
It is with deep sorrow and gratitude for a blessed life that we announce the passing of Olga Valencia (86), devoted wife and mother. Olga was the youngest born to the late Teodolindo Villafane and Odilia Rodriquez Villafane in Roldanillo (Valle de Cauca), Colombia in 1939. She moved to the United States in 1963, first to Hollywood, CA, then moving to Hollywood, FL in 1972, and ultimately settling in Cooper City, FL in 1975.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, Antonio Valencia Padilla and four sons, Jorge Ivan (Ramona) Valencia, Xavier Antonio “Tony” (Liliana) Valencia, Paul Andrew (Janie) Valencia and John Brian (Lara) Valencia; grandchildren Cecilia Marie (Aaron) Reyes, Isabella Claire Valencia, Ryan Andrew Valencia, Aidan Francis Valencia, Sophia Grace Valencia, and Austin Cruz Valencia.
Olga was a deeply religious, caring and devoted schoolteacher in Hollywood, including at the Church of the Little Flower school. She was very active within the Catholic church. She was a passionate Chaminade and Notre Dame mother, had many friends and focused on the upbringing of her boys. She was always there to celebrate their academic and athletic success. She believed in helping the less fortunate and set a great example for others. She was a fervent believer in hard work and the value of education.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers and sister; Alfonso (late Atilia) Villafane and Carlos (Ofelia) Villafane and Cecilia (late Alvaro) Gaez; mother-in-law Flor Padilla, and sister-n-law, Nora (late Jim) Huckestein, their son, Larry Huckestein, and “adopted” son Robert Henry.
She is also survived by her sister-in-law, nieces and nephew; Amparo (late Michael) Osokow, Marta Lucia Villafane, Carmen Helena Gaez, Maria Constanza Gaez, Michelle Arden and David Osokow.
We will deeply miss her.

Valencia Family-
I’d like to give my deepest condolences. I totally understand the emotional impact that comes with the passing of a parent. Please know that “earth’s loss, is heaven’s gain”. Knowing Tony for 15 years, and hearing all the great Family stories of his parents and 3 brothers, no doubt your Mother was the foundation of all of your successes. I encourage you to come even closer together, as I’m sure that is what your Mother’s wish would be.
God Bless.
Lance.

With a deeply saddened heart, I send you my deepest condolences. Upon hearing the news of Olguita’s passing, my soul is filled with immense sorrow. I did not have the opportunity to see her physically, but I learned to know her through the loving and admiring words of my cousin Antonio. I know that she was an exceptional woman, a soul deeply devoted to God, whose faith radiated from every aspect of her life and was beautifully reflected in the upbringing of her children and grandchildren, who are living testimony to her exemplary guidance. Her union with Antonio was a precious gift, a beacon of love and commitment that I always admired and will keep as an indelible example for our entire family. In the midst of this pain, let us cling to the hope offered to us by the Word of God in John 5:28, where we are promised a wonderful hope. May this promise embrace you and give you comfort in this difficult time. Your cousin Fernando
