DIAZ, Otto, age 67, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, son, and brother of Miami, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020.
Otto was born on December 19, 1953, in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, one of four children born to Lincoln Diaz and Modesta Iturrey.
He met and married the love of his life and best friend, Arleen, they shared 48 wonderful years together. From their love, two beautiful daughters were born; Cristina and Melissa.
Otto was was the definition of a true man, he was kind, selfless, humble and as his mother says the most noble of her sons. He would do anything for those he loved. He will be truly missed by his loving family and friends.
He is pre-deceased by his father, Lincoln Diaz. Survived by his wife, Arleen Diaz; daughters, Cristina (Art) Vaulk and Melissa Perez; grandsons, Cristian Vaulk, Gabriel Vaulk, and Daniel Perez; mother, Modesta Iturrey; and brothers, Lincoln Diaz Iturrey, Rene Diaz Iturrey, and Leonardo Diaz Iturrey.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Sunday, January 24th, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, Hollywood Boulevard Chapel.
As a tribute to Otto’s character and personality, please wear your favorite sports’ team shirt, UM shirt, or just casual clothing just as he always wore.
