Philip Joseph Truglio, 77, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born on September 28, 1947. He was the beloved son of Giuseppe and Francesca Truglio.
Philip, as he was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was one marked by love , compassion and faith in God. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
After graduation from high school and business school, he served in the Army from 1967 to 1970. Stationed in Panama as a Jungle Trainer. He served training his brothers in uniform before they were deployed to Vietnam. Upon his return he worked for Bayer Cadillac and on his weekends loved racing his car on the racetrack. He won numerous trophies, but never brought them home, due to the fact that his parents never knew about his love for racing. He also loved hunting and his many dogs he had throughout his years.
He met his wife Sandra in New York City, married and had three wonderful, beautiful children, Joseph, Salvatore and Frances. He lived in New York till 1985, until he set out on a new journey with his family and dog to South Florida.
He has four wonderful grandchildren Olivia grace, Nikolas Joseph, Brayden Philip, and Natalie Robin. They were the love of his life. Philip is survived by his wife, sons, daughter, daughter-in-law. He also leaves behind three sisters, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU
REST IN PEACE, GOD WATCH OVER HIM
