Mr. Richard Allan Simpson, 89, a loving husband, father and grandfather, of Southwest Ranches, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at his residence. Born on August 25, 1925, in Melrose, MA, to the late Ronald Simpson and Agnes Ryan. He proudly served in the US Navy for two years. Richard later became a Fire Fighter where he helped saved many lives. He will be fondly remembered by his devoted wife of 8 years, Diana M. Simpson; his beloved children, Richard Simpson II, Samuel Katzen, Dana Louise Pollack, Dianne Brocato, Gabriela Marvin Doubleday and Marcio Sindy Brocato; and his loving grandchildren, Heather and Richard. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 7:00 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, February 12, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church. Interment with Military Honors will follow at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.

We heard a lot of great things about “Uncle Dick” from Jay and Bev Simpson. They loved meeting him and Diane at Dolly Copp Campground.
