Richard Paulison, Miami native and longtime educator, died on Tuesday, July 30, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 64. Richard was passionate about education, and took great pride in his teaching and in his students. He spent his entire 40-year career with Miami-Dade Public Schools as an English teacher and reading coach. A lifelong Floridian, he was an avid boater and fisherman, and a loyal Dolphins fan. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Linda Paulison; son, Timothy Paulison; daughter, Lisa Ryan Rillo; grandchildren, Abigail, Nicholas and Zachary Rillo; mother, Billie Paulison; and brothers, David Kathy Paulison, Kenneth Melody Paulison and Larry Tanya Paulison. Gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 12:00 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera University Drive Chapel. I am heart broken, To here about Dickie passing. I know now that he is not suffering. And he is at peace, He is with Jesus now.I always thought about Dickie, And how great of a person he was. RIP. I will be praying for Linda & his family.I truly missed him over the years. Much Love. Greg Smith.

So sorry to hear about Richard,s death. A part of the neighborhood gang in North Miami growing up. Life now has more meaning than before,it will only get better.
