It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rick Ziel. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He will best be remembered for his love of family, nature, and
warbirds. He was a charismatic spirit who embraced life and shared it freely with everyone he met. From his long career with Miami-Dade Water and Sewer, to many trips to Fisheating
Creek, to his decades long volunteering with Sun-n-Fun, Rick was a beloved character who meant so much to so many. If you look up in the sky and see a warbird, or if you go camping or take a hike in the woods, think of Rick and know that he is there. He is survived by his 3 sisters, wife, 3 children, and 12 grandchildren.
A visitation is to be held on Sunday, June 16, 2024, from 1:30 PM until 5:00 PM with a Tributes of a Lifetime service starting at 3:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.

I was so sorry to hear about Rick’s passing. He was a dear childhood friend that I would bass fish, lift weights and wrestle with. A real good guy that always stuck up for his friends. My deepest sympathy to Lisa, Sandy and Sue, along with the rest of his family.

Although too few, I was blessed with enough times with Rick and the Miami crew to have many great memories of this special man. Whether it was Peace River canoe trips, Fisheating Creek or a weekend party up at Tom and Janice’s, the stories are endless. After all these years, I’m still telling the tales and I bust a gut every time. RIP my man. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all.
