It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of Richard Lee Rall. Richard passed away on July 11, 2021, just one month shy of his 88th birthday. He was born in Elma, Washington on August 13, 1933. He enrolled in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1952. He won the national stage and took Washington State boxing to new heights in the late 1950s. He attended Washington State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1959. He went on to win 11 Golden Gloves titles, one Marine championship and two Navy titles before working as an official in amateur, collegiate and professional boxing.
He moved to San Francisco where he lived for many years. He enjoyed fishing, refereeing and his team, the San Francisco 49ers. He is survived by his wife, Julieta Rall.
Visitation to be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.
