“Bob and I met in 1991 while both attending an AA meeting in Bowie, Md.He was 69 yrs old, 1 day shy of his 70th birthday. He was 29 yrs sober, 4 months shy of his 30yr AA anniversary. He loved helping other alcoholics by sponsoring then and was always willing to lend an ear to anyone needing help.He made a career of selling pianos and organs and digital keyboards which complimented his love for music especially Broadway musicals the likes of “The Fantasticks”, “110 in the Shade”, “Company”, “Colette Collage” to name a few. He loved everything written and produced by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt and two of the highlights of his life were to travel to NYC and have lunch with Tom Jones and also travel to Houston, TX and have lunch with Harvey Schmidt a number of years back.Bob loved to watch old movies, his go to channel being Turner Classic Movies. Two of our all time favorites that we watched together every Christmas are “Miracle on 34th Street” and “It’s a Wonderful Life”.Bob lovingly cared for our many wonderful pets throughout the years, took great joy in cooking and playing the piano for me and supported me in all the things that brought me joy.Bob lovingly cared for me for 29 years. He is one of the most kind and gentle souls I have ever met and I thank God for bringing us together to share our lives with each other. I’m forever grateful to him for bringing love and joy to my life. I love you, Bobby.”
