Robert “Bobby D” DePasquale

January 27, 1952~June 04, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of Robert “Bobby D” DePasquale’s passing, after a courageous 6-year battle with lung cancer then acute myeloid leukemia.   Bobby never gave up and remained true to his fighting spirit.

He was resolved and committed to taking care of his “DePasquale girls” starting with his lifetime love and wife of 52 years, Deborah Middleton.   Bobby is survived by his daughters and their families, Michele Buccheri, Sara Curran and Krystal Ortega.    Although his daughter, Amy DePasquale, preceded him in passing, her memory remained etched in his heart. He was highly regarded and held deep affection for his sons-in-law, Robert Ortega and Anthony Buccheri, while also being a cherished friend to them.

Bobby was blessed with his 4 daughters and then the blessings multiplied with 8 adored grandchildren.  He was their mentor and role model teaching them important life skills, guitar, and sharing of stories.  One of his greatest joys was being a grandfather actively involved in each of their lives.  Amy’s only child, Deborah Girello, is the first grandchild, followed by Krystal and Robert Ortega’s children Dominic and Anthony, followed by Vincent Buccheri then double blessed with 2 sets of twins 7 months apart, Sara Curran’s children Richard and Colin and Michele and Anthony Buccheri’s children Robert and Izabella.

Beyond his immediate family, Bobby’s warmth extended to his in laws, Christy and her husband Roy Simpson, and William and his wife Maureen Middleton. His blessings further multiplied through numerous nephews, nieces, spouses, and their children equally loved.

Bobby touched countless lives with his infectious humor, compassionate heart, and unwavering moral compass. Even during his darkest moments, Bobby’s presence illuminated every room. His stories, often shared with a mischievous twinkle in his eye, brought laughter and comfort.  Bobby’s legacy will continue to inspire future generations with endless stories of his younger years, jokes, love for music and guitar, and carefree spirit.

Bobby was a good man.  He may not have been perfect in this world, but he was the perfect husband, father, friend and man in our world.

In Loving Memory of Bobby D

The family will be having a service in Bobby’s remembrance.  In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Lung Association, or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in honor of Bobby’s courageous fight with these diseases.  These contributions will help support vital research and provide hope for those affected by cancer.

Doug and I love the DePasquale family. We have known Bob & Deb since high school and have remained close friends for all these years. Actually, Doug has known Bob since they both attended Kindergarten together in Miami, and they lived in the same neighborhood. They also attended middle and high school together. We’ll always remember Bob for his humor, kindness, laughter and jokes. He will forever be missed and remain in our hearts forever.❤️🙏🏻 We’ll always be here for you, Debbie and family.
Love Doug & Ellie
