Upon reading how Vann’s father Roger was described as Kind and harbored a Positive Attitude, it is easily transparent that those same personality characteristics are in his son Vann as well. Roger left behind a legacy that will continue to transcend his beautiful and long life that he lived.

We will truly miss our good friend Roger. It has been an honor to know him!
And it has also been a pleasure to meet his family!
We enjoyed watching our friend in his 90s dance like a young man! We enjoyed listening to all his stories going back to World War II in France. He even shared some of his professional skills by tailoring a vest and repairing shoes. He critiqued all of our dining out adventures. Our lives are so enriched by knowing him! We will miss him greatly!!
Love, Connie and Gene

Words cannot capture the loss. However, I will try my best.
My Dad was my role model when I was a young boy and he became my life mentor as I matured as a young man to the man I am today. He was my personal tailor from a toddler to my early 30’s. He made sport jackets for my 2 younger brothers and I. I recall him saying scientists and engineers were the worst dressers. I kept that in mind as I became an engineer and was proud to be an exception knowing how to dress well from a young age.
He did not have a PhD, but as others have said he was a professor of life. His customers loved him. He was well liked by most if not all. His kindness, caring and easy going manner plus healthy doses of humor kept him on an even keel throughout.
He did not have it easy nearly all his life. After living through World War II as a young teenager in southern France, he came to the New Country to start a new life with the tailoring skills he acquired in the Old Country with next do nothing and became a successful tailor, business owner, raised a family and was able to enjoy his twilight years. He will be dearly missed. Most do not know he was baptized in the Armenian Church in Marseille as Van. He was referred to as Vanig (little Van). He will live on forever in my heart and soul.
May he rest in peace. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

My grandma was the wisest relative I’ve known. He has always had such a beautiful heart and soul. I’m very thankful that he came into my mothers life and taught her the lifelong skill of tailoring that has helped her in her career. He was such a funny and creative/artistic person. To this day, I still miss his paintings that I used to admire as a child. My grandpa has always inspired me and he was kind of person that always knew that he can be and create what he wanted as long as he had his blank page. I love you grandpa ❤️
