Ruby B. Merchan, age 64 of Pembroke Pines, Florida passed away Monday, January 6, 2020. She was born in Manila, Philippines on Monday, January 10, 1955.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Francisco Belamide and Felicidad Ancheta and her brother: Ernesto (Mitos) Javier.
Ruby is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years: Victor E. Merchan; loving daughter: Kristine Merchan; brothers and sisters: Theresa (Dan) Bernardo, Roberto (Rosebelle) Javier, Maria Luz Javier, Francisco (Generosa) Belamide and Emmanuel Belamide; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a loving extended family.
Visitation to be held on Monday, January 13, 2020 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with Tributes of a Lifetime Service and Prayer Service at 6:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel.

We will truly miss Tita Ruby and the way she lights up the room with her jovial presence. Someone so special will never be forgotten and all the wonderful memories we all experienced with her. We will pray for you Tito Vic, Kristine and the rest of Tita Ruby's family through this time of loss and sadness. Know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Ruby was a classmate in grade school, for some reason I have thought of her and tries to look for her. I am so sad to hear that she is no longer with us. I hope I can connect with Lou, or Maria Luz Javier who was also a classmate. I have very fond memories of Ruby.
