Salvador Jason Troncale passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the age of 79. He is survived by his loving wife Linda of 55 years, his children, Leah and Chad (Sunny), and his grandchildren, Zane, Chase, and Bella.
Jason was born in Birmingham, Alabama on November 5, 1943, to Andrew and Rosalie Troncale, and was the 2nd of 6 siblings: 3 brothers, Frank, Joe, and Bernard, and 2 sisters, Katie and Angie. Jason spent several years in the seminary at St Bernard in Cullman, Alabama where he was studying to become a Catholic priest. He received a Master’s and a Doctorate degree in Theology, but ultimately decided that the calling was not for him shortly before he was to be ordained. Jason left the seminary to join the Navy OCS program at Naval Air Station Pensacola. It is here that he met the love of his life, Linda. He served dutifully for 4 years, with most of his time spent as a lieutenant on the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier. After his time in the service, he went on to enjoy a very successful career as a cargo sales manager for North and South America at Air Canada Airlines, a company and profession that he loved dearly.
Jason loved his family with his whole heart. Nothing brought him greater joy than being with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed nothing more than grilling out with the family or taking a ride on his beloved boat, Dinghy Slinger, with everyone on board.
Jason’s greatest passion in life was making people laugh. From the store cashier, to all of his family and friends, and to the patients at the VA Hospital where he volunteered, Jason spent his days spreading smiles to the faces of everyone he encountered.
Jason will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. Please join us in remembering him on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 6:00 pm as we celebrate his life with a gathering at Tropical Acres Steakhouse located at 2500 Griffin Road, Ft. Lauderdale, Fl 33312. He will also be honored on August 23,2023 at 3:00 pm, at the South Florida National Cemetery located at 6501 Fl-7, Lake Worth, Fl 33449.

Jason I’m sure by now you have put Heaven in order. Just remember the jokes can only go so far as the real boss is very close.
It was a great ride knowing you for many years and until we meet again God bless and Anchors Aweigh my friend. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

My condolences to the Troncale family for their loss.
Jason was a good man with a sense of humor like mine and Kevin’s
that was a tad askew. I always new it would be an interesting Air Canada
meeting if Jason was there to share our side comments while trying to insure
the others would receive any “bad marks” for the disruption we had caused.
Of course we would mercifully pelt each other with various personal digs.
While it is sad he has passed, I know he appreciates my smile and giggles
as I think of the fun we had, usually at expense of each other or deserving others.

To Linda & Troncale Family:: Another legend has departed this earth for a better place. Jason was always one of the FUN GUYS at our cargo meetings. Let’s just say he kept everything interesting and had a great sense of humor. He and I were always considered Dave Tangry’s pets because we got away with a little bit more than the other Cargo Managers. You will be missed BIG BROTHER We will see you upstairs in Air Canada’s section of heaven REST IN PEACE

Linda, I just heard about Jason. He was a classmate of mine in Aviation Officer Candidate School. We were blessed to have him as a member of Class 0768. I very much enjoyed visiting with Jason at our 50th reunion. He had a wonderful gift of humor that always left me smiling. I am so very sorry for your loss.
