Scott G. Silvernale, 68, of Dania Beach, Florida, passed away June 7th, 2024, after a courageous fight with Congestive Heart Failure. Scott was born October 28, 1955 in Torrington, CT. He was the son of the late June and George Silvernale. He moved with his family in 1956 to Dania Beach, where he attended Dania Elementary, Olsen and South Broward High. After graduating from High School he went on to FSU and FIU where he got a degree in finance. Scott loved helping children so he started his career as a Juvenile Detention Deputy, he then went on to a long career in Security before retiring.
Scott was involved in many community organizations such as Dania Rotary, as past President, Knights of Columbus as Grand Knight and Financial Secretary. He also was a member of Ft. Lauderdale JCS and an active member of Little Flower Catholic church in Hollywood, Florida.
He loved sports, NASCAR, football, baseball and often spoke of past games and memorabilia he collected over the years. He loved watching old westerns. Many times he would come in the kitchen and tell us about the western he was watching, We enjoyed those moments.
Scott is survived by:
Brother, William “Bill” Silvernale (Maureen) of Yadkinville, North Carolina
Sister, Janice Castillo (Chris) of Lincolnton, North Carolina,
Brother, James “Jim” Silvernale (Marilyn) of Hollywood, Florida
Brother, Ron Costello (Stacey) and daughter, Vicki of Dania Beach, Florida.
Nieces and Nephews, Jennifer, Melanie, Will, Bridget and Katey and Grandnieces, Briana, Sammy, Olivia and Elle.
He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Scout
Visitation will take place on Monday, June 17th, from 6:00-8:00 pm with a Tributes of a Lifetime and Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel.
Funeral Mass to be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 11:oo am at Little Flower Catholic Church, 1805 Pierce Street, Hollywood, FL 33020.
Cremation entrusted to the care of Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care.
The family requests donations in Scott’s name to the Nicholas J. Costello Scholarship fund Danil Lions Club, P.O Box 681, Dania Beach, Florida, 33004.
