We moved to Boynton Beach about 18 yrs ago but would come down to visit friends & would go there to eat with friends. Maria, and family, I am heartbroken to hear of your sweet husband/father’s way-too-soon departure.
For the 13 years that I worked for a law firm just East of Presidential Circle, I would often work late into the night, and Maria would always graciously take my calls, sometimes only minutes before you closed the restaurant, and save me from starvation by quickly conjuring up my favorite meals!
I loved taking friends to Sebastiano’s for dinner on weekends, Such a bustling, warm, family atmosphere there!!
A true Hollywood icon is gone …..

As a retired Hollywood Firefighter and former president of our Retiree association, I can speak on behalf of our members in saying we extend our heartfelt sympathies to Maria and the family for this untimely loss of their beloved “Seb”. A few years back, Seb and Maria made a special effort to open their restaurant on a Monday (usually closed) to accommodate a special Celebration of Life for Division Chief William Clark, one of our own. It was an example of the love Seb always showed for the Hollywood community when the occasion came up. Though gone much too early, Seb will live on in the minds and hearts of all who knew him and were humbly served at his tables.

Oh, how we enjoyed Seb’s cooking with our extended family for so many years. Even my beloved mother who we lost this time last year was able to sample his heavenly eggplant parm! She was always treated like a queen by Seb’s and Maria’s wonderful staff. I always told Maria that I hoped they have their eggplant parm in heaven because I LOVED it so much. To Maria and the family: we returned to Hollywood for the winter last week and went over on Wednesday looking forward to one of your delicious dinners. We were upset to see the restaurant closed and then to learn of the death of your husband back in September. We will miss seeing you.
