Sidney Raymond Mitchell, age 64, a long time resident of Margate, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019, after a courageous battle against cancer. 

He was born on August 4, 1954, in New York City, New York, one of three children born to Robert Mitchell and Lucille (Livingston) France.

After graduating high school, Sidney enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served as a Boatswain’s mate first class from 1985 until 1998. He later became a Vehicle Operator for the State of Florida. 

Sidney was an excellent husband, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn Mitchell; his loving children, Paris Mitchell and Yolanda Mitchell; brother, Robert Mitchell; his sister, Althea France; niece, Amber Grace; and nephews, Raymond France, Raymond France Jr, and Robert Mitchell, III.

Visitation will take place on Friday, February 22nd, from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel.

Graveside Service with Military Honors will follow at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
