Sonia Maria Brunet Lidell, age 76, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, left us to join her high school sweetheart, Robert, in eternity on Monday, April 19, 2021, after a glorious life filled with excitement, adventure, love, caring, travel and family. Sonia was a native of her beloved Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Katherine Lidell of Hau’ula, HI, by her faithful son, Robert Lidell and his loving wife Denise, of Hollywood, FL, and by her beautiful and talented daughter, Jennifer Lidell of Lake Isabella, CA.

She is also survived (in age order) by her beautiful granddaughter Luanna Barbosa Berthin and her husband Christian, of Miami, FL, her adoring  grandson, Christopher Munoz and lovely wife, Kimiko, of Honolulu, HI, her loving granddaughter Natascha Lidell (Corzo) of Plantation, FL, by her wonderful grandson Diego Miranda and his fiancé Jessica, of Davie, FL, her faithful grandson Daniel Lidell of Davie, FL, her beautiful granddaughter Skylar (Vivian-Elise) Saboda and her partner, Ashley Opacki of Austin, TX, her loyal grandson Dillon Saboda and wife Savannah, of Ames, IA, by her loving granddaughter, Kira Sanders, of Plantation, FL, by her beautiful granddaughter, Emily Lidell of Hollywood, FL, by her brilliant grandson, Keoni Jon Sanders of Hau’ula, HI and by her youngest grandson, Orion of Lake Isabella, CA. Her sweet grandson, Logan Sanders (deceased), was there to welcome her home. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Caroline, Christiani, and Nathalie Berthin, by Kai Munoz, and by the youngest, William Saboda.

Sonia is also survived by her many loving siblings, Tomas Brunet and his lovely wife, Migdalia, of Boynton Beach, FL, her beautiful sister Vilma Bethania Brunet, her loving brother, Richard Brunet and her baby sister, Ana Evelyn Torres and her loving husband Louis, of Royal Palm Beach, FL. She also leaves behind her loving siblings in-law, “Rosie” Vivian Lidell, of Rohnert Park, CA, William Lidell and Barbara of Dumfries, VA, and Nora Lidell of New York, NY and Norma Brunet of Long Island, NY. She is predeceased by her siblings and siblings in law, Rafael, Otto, Carlos and Maribel, and Jim and , her stepbrother, as well as her sister-in-law, Stephanie.

Sonia also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, Janice, Kim, Jami, Otto, Erika, Kevin, Aileen, Ellen Ann (gone, but never forgotten), Maribel, Carlos, Bill, Bonnie, Madelene, Rosie, Kim, Alfred, Tom, Lissette, Andrew and Dana and many beloved friends.

Visitation to be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.
