Steve Belleme passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by loved ones. He bravely fought cancer for nearly two years while keeping his loveable personality and sense of humor. He worked with enthusiasm until he was no longer able to. Steve was a dedicated professional for the Broward County Aviation department for thirty-one years. He was the dedicated “airport guy” if anyone needed to know
anything about the happenings at the airport, Steve was the one to call.
Steve grew up in Union City, New Jersey with his five siblings: Theresa, John, Louis, Mary and Joseph. Steve and his siblings lost their father Steve at an early age; and Lena Belleme, the matriarch of the family, dedicated her life to the Lord and her children and moved the family to Hialeah in the 1950s.
Steve was passionate in life about many things especially family and friends. Steve also loved sports and music. Many of you remember him as a champion gymnast tumbling his way to victory across a basketball court in Hialeah. Steve also instilled the love of music to others and was a lifelong musician and fan of many different types of music.
Steve is survived by his wife, Angela; children: Stephen Jr., Gina and Cristina; their spouses: Milena, Aaron and Sean and his grandchildren: Lucas, Hudson and Spencer.
There will be a Memorial Mass at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Southwest Ranches, Florida on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
The family is also in the process of organizing a future celebration for a life well-lived. Donations to remember Steve’s life can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Lung Association.
Arrangements entrusted to Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.
