I am saddened to hear of Steve’s passing. My condolences go out to family, relatives
and friends. I saw him at City Side Cafe in Beverly 2 years ago and had the opportunity to chat
with him. He also was a great baseball teammate for the Beverly Recs, back in the 70’s. He was
was a tough pitcher for us, and won a lot of key games. He was a true gamer when he toed the
rubber, and he was a gamer all his life.

So sorry to find this. Steve was a fun boss. I still remember and quote a few of his lines.
“I throw away all first requests. If they really want it, they will ask again.”

“Is it going to matter next year? Next month? Next week? How about 5 minutes from now?”
