Steven “Steve” John Gersack of Pembroke Pines, FL passed away in his home on April 9, 2021. He was 67. Born in Gary, Indiana Steve was a graduate of the Indiana University in 1976. Soon after college graduation he relocated to South Florida. He had a long career in banking starting in the late seventies holding roles at: American Savings and Loan, Sun Coast Savings and Loan, Republic Security Bank, Community Bank of Broward, Stonegate Bank and most recently at Centennial Bank. Steve was very active in the community serving in the Men of St. Marks Catholic Church and previously served roles with the Rotary Club of Davie Cooper City and the Pembroke Pines Chamber of Commerce. He was an avid golfer and a lover of music. His greatest joy came as being a loving, patient and steady father to his two beautiful daughters, Samantha and Summer and beloved husband to his lovely wife Patricia “Patti”. He is also survived by his three sisters: Carol (Barry) Maram of Chicago, IL, Laurel (Jerry) Wolfson of Miami Florida, and Margie (Gregg) Vignos of Orida, CA., his nieces Julie Wolfson-Stockman, Dani Vignos as well as nephews Jonah Wolfson, and Jeffrey Vignos.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church, 5601 S. Flamingo Road, Southwest Ranches, FL on April 21st. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the daughters’ education fund via Centennial Bank located at 10310 Griffin Road; Cooper City, FL.
