Sudie T. Grow of Miami Gardens, Florida, passed away peacefully at the age of 102 at her residence in the presence of her family on June 3, 2022. She was born in Kress, Virginia on June 29, 1919 to the late Jordan and Myra Toone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil V. Grow and her son, Donald L.Grow.

Sudie is survived by her children: Cecil R. Grow, Linda Johnson and Stewart A. Grow and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and her church family at Opa Locka United Methodist Church.

Sudie was the matriarch of her family and was truly adored by her family and all those that knew her. She lived her life with God 1st, family, friends and then self. She was truly a selfless person, a true child of God.

Sudie was a founding member of the Opalocka United Methodist Church where she served the church in many different roles over the years, her last role being a greeter that everyone looked forward to seeing every Sunday. She was a faithful servant that truly loved the Lord.

Visitation to be held at her church on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 11:00 AM until Service at 12:00 PM at Opa Locka United Methodist Church, 630 Sharar Avenue, Opa Locka, Florida 33054.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be sent to the Opa Locka United Methodist Church in Sudie’s name.
