In Loving Memory of Thomas Michael Gusher
October 22, 1942 – April 30, 2025
With full hearts and profound sadness, we share the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Thomas Michael Gusher, who left us peacefully on April 30, 2025, in Davie, Florida. He was 82 years old.
Born in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, on October 22, 1942, Tom was the kind of man who could do just about anything. A 1960 graduate of Hanover Area High School and a U.S. Army veteran, he went on to work as an electrical foreman with Pennsylvania Power and Light—where his skill with all things mechanical and electrical earned him deep respect from colleagues.
Tom built an airboat from scratch, wrote computer programs just for fun, and could fix almost anything with whatever he had on hand. But his talents extended far beyond the technical. He was a man of deep curiosity, sharp wit, and wide-ranging knowledge. He loved to talk (and talk, and talk), and had a way of making everyone feel like they were part of his story.
Tom was a devoted family man. He and the love of his life, Beverly Ann Budner, were married for 60 years. He was the proud father of three children and made certain their childhood—and later his grandchildren’s—was filled with magical memories: rollerblading, snowmobiling, fishing, hiking, exploring coal mines, and spontaneous outdoor adventures.
His zest for life was contagious. Whether he was golfing, ice skating, dancing with his “Bevy,” or simply enjoying a good laugh, Tom reminded us all to live fully and love deeply.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly; his daughters, Diane Lynn Gusher Gray and Tammy Marie Gusher Delgado; his grandchildren, Deanna Marie Gardas, Michael Alexander Kennedy, Mikaela Tamaron Kennedy, Austin David Delgado, and Dawson Thomas Delgado; his sister, Patricia Mooney; his brothers, Philip and Michael Gusher; and many dear cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Michael Gusher Jr., and his parents, Michael and Mary (Gusicara) Gusher.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetary in Hanover Township, Pennsylvania . In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in his memory to the Thomas M. Gusher Jr. Training Institute c/o Hanover Township Ambulance, 1001 Center Street, Hanover Township, PA 18706.

Beverly, Diana, and Tammy,
Jerald and I are so very sorry for your loss. I know you will have a hole in your life that will never close. Tom loved his family, and he was proud of you.
Tom was a good friend. He was always willing to lend a hand where he was needed.
I will always remember our trip to Naples to ride the Murder Mystery Train. Tom was the one in our car who figured out the murderer in the skit. He was so excited about his win.
