Thomas Painter, age 72, of Florida passed away Thursday after a short hospital stay.
Thomas worked as a route driver, marketing sales rep, and a tour bus driver where he enjoyed many interesting trips throughout the United States.
He loved fishing, the outdoors, dancing, and all types of music, especially rock and roll. He was an avid reader with a life-long interest in learning, always keeping up with current events. He enjoyed watching movies, TV series, and his favorite Tampa Bay sports teams. He loved sports and was an amazing athlete, playing baseball, basketball, and football in high school.
He showed great courage with the illnesses he lived with in recent years, using his keen sense of humor to brighten the days of everyone he met.
He will be remembered by his family and friends as a kind and caring man who will be deeply missed.
Thomas is survived by his daughter Kelly, ex-wife Sharon, son-in-law Celso, grandchildren Bradley and Laurana, sister Malinda, and niece Lisa. He is preceded in death by his parents Georgia and Robert, nephews Cabot and Vincent, stepmother Roberta, and ex-wife Cheryl.
