Vernon Eugene Garner, age 89, of Hollywood, Florida, passed away September 7th, 2022. He was born in Sherwood, Tennessee on July 28th, 1933, to the late Buford Lee and Ona Mae Garner.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Garner, and daughters Regina Gardner and Sharron Garner.

Vernon is survived by three brothers, three sisters, daughters: Donna Garner and Lisa Garner; sons, Allen Garner, Michael Garner, and Timothy Garner; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

A legend in his own right, he will permanently be a fixture on the front porches of Hayes Street.

A Memorial Gathering will take place on Friday, September 16th, 2022, from 4:00 Pm – 7:00 PM with Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 5:30 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel.
