GORDY, William “Bill”, 94, of Miami, FL, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2016. He was born in Tampa, FL. Bill served in the US Army. He was a tractor trailer driver for many years. Once he retired, he worked as a security officer for several years and then went to work for Publix. He loved staying busy. Bill enjoyed being surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Irene Burgner; sister, Carmen; wives, Zoraida and Frances. He is survived by his loving daughter, Ersilia “Elsie” Buckley and her husband, Jack; son in law, Carl Burgner; seven grandchildren, Lori Testino (Bob), Mark Burgner (Deb), Greg Burgner (Kathy), Tina Myles (John), all of Tampa, Bill Canalejo (Yasmin), Jack Canalejo (Yesenia) and Steven Canalejo (Joanna), all of Miami; 12 great grandchildren, Renee, Ricky, Matt, Andrew, Gregory, Erika, Alexis, Leo, Estephanie, Lorenzo, Stephanie and Julian; two great-great grandchildren, Austin and Eva; many extended family members. Friends may visit from 12-1:00 PM, Friday at Boyd-Panciera Hollywood Bouvelard Chapel. Funeral Services at 1:00 PM, Friday, Dec. 30, at the funeral home followed by the interment at Dade Memorial Park.

Bill was everyone’s friend and a personal friend for more than 35 yrs. He was an honored guest at his daughter Elsie’s & husband Jack Buckley; we shared many of Elsie’s great meals together, Bill, may you rest in the Peace of the Lord forever. Dan & Evelyn Blaha
