Celeste Marie Methot

August 29, 1957~January 10, 2021

On Sunday January 10, 2021 Celeste Marie Methot passed away peacefully at her home in Hollywood FL.  Our family loved her deeply and together with her amazing group of friends we are fortunate to have  memories that will fill our lives for years to come. To lay out the details of Celeste’s life would be near  impossible. Celeste was forever on the move, always looking for the next adventure or project to tackle.  The word no or I can’t did not exist in her world however, “No Bueno” had become a quite common  phrase.

Celeste started every day with a lemon and by the end of the day she had made lemonade. She was a  daughter, spouse, sister, aunt, step-mom and an amazingly loyal friend. Her glass was forever half full  and although this was not the blueprint (her words) for her life she was pragmatic and made her wishes  known.

Celeste requested that we forgo a funeral service and “Throw Her a Party” (and you better be wearing  your dancing shoes). Due to current circumstances that date will be delayed. Our hope is to celebrate  her life well lived Saturday 8/28/21, the night before what would have been her 64th birthday.

We have set up a gmail account MemoriesOfCeleste2021@gmail.com and ask that you share any photos  and memories to be included in her celebration of life. We will also use your email address to officially  announce the party date, time and location.

Throw me a Party by Rita Wilson

I lived my life as kind as I could

I did my best, I hope I was good

I’ll always wish I’d crossed a few more lines

But I always lived like there wasn’t enough time

I’ll leave footprints for you in the sand

A couple of notes only you’ll understand

I have one wish that someday you’ll see

How much your love, your love has meant to me

So when I’m gone, throw me a party

You should dance as if I was there

Don’t be sad or be broken-hearted

Just send your voices up in the air

Sing my songs and light up the sparklers

Tell my stories and drink all my wine

And know my life is just getting started

When I’m gone

Throw me a party

So sorry for your loss. I remember when Celeste took us to my first Brave game and rafting down the river in a Georgia. Some of my fondest memories. I took my kids to the game one year. She was always so much fun. So glad I got to see her after all those years. I know this is a difficult time but I know she is hanging with mom and Sue in heaven and smiling down on everyone. HUGS to you all.

Celeste was client, friend, therapist and fellow golfer. I would look forward to our meetings as we talked more life than accounting and taxes. I loved her philosophy on life and she taught me a lot. I will miss her dearly.

What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful lady. It captures the Celeste I know perfectly. She brought an instant energy and joyfulness where ever she went. So thankful that I was lucky enough to have her in my life. Best ever bloody mary in the French Quarter, best ever clam chowder at Thanksgiving, best ever dancing partner at weddings, are just a few memories that will always bring a smile to my face. I look forward to celebrating her life in August, and will definitely bring my dancing shoes. Love you and miss you Celeste.

My condolences on your loss. I was in Celeste’s company only a few times, but she opened her home to me as if I was family. She was a wonderful, kind, generous and a fun-loving person who was full of life and gave so much of herself to others. She will be missed.

Celeste was so energetic and generous with her energy. I am so grateful for all the times she was there for family gatherings. My father still talks about dancing with her at Regina’s wedding. She was no wallflower. She will be missed but always remembered

When I met Celeste, she made sure we’d stop by her place for some “nosh” before we flew back to Nashville. The next thing I knew, she was improving my golf game. And then the trips! I couldn’t keep up with her, whether it was climbing stairs at the Abbesses station, or getting in one more round of golf in HH. She married one of the best. I’ve never questioned, nor needed to, her judgment. You’ll be missed, my friend. I’ll carry your laugh with me every time I get mud on my driver. My sincerest condolences to the entire family.

There are so many words and thoughts to fill this empty space. Celeste was an existential life force, fulfilling each day with the activity and energy of a dynamo. I miss her presence her joy and her sheer delight in all that she did and the infectious smile that accompanied it all.

I got to know Celeste through golf EWGA/ LPGA Amateurs. I was a newbie, but she always had a kind word and a smile, as she mentored me through chapter life. What a lovely person. You definitely touched everyone you met. Fly high on this next journey, you will be missed.

Celeste had an impact on my life beyond what one would expect from a typical patient and physician relationship. She called me “her guy” and made fun of me for riding a small motorcycle. I genuinely loved her. She left this earth too early but she deserves nothing but peace. I won’t ever forget her. I hope this is end of all sorrows for Jackie and the rest of her family. With love, Dr. Sinno.

I served on the Board of Directors of the LPGA golf group and was very lucky to get to know her. I played golf with Celeste at Emerald Hills in March (before lockdown) and I played poorly. Celeste was patient and kind and shared her tequila hoping it would help my game 🙂 I will miss her terribly and all she did for our golf group. Keeping her family and friends in my thoughts.

Words are not enough to describe how Celeste affected all our lives. A light shines bright inside my chest and I feel my love for her and her friendship. She touched us all and flew away on angel’s wings.

I met Celeste through our dear friend Karen Sayles. Celeste’s energy and attitude immediately drew me in. She always had a smile and a big heart. She touched many hearts and will be missed by so many. Another angel to watch over us.

Celeste was such a lovely person, she was always so positive when we spoke, she was truly a “glass half full” woman. I wish I had known her better off the golf course, you will be missed by so many LPGA AM girls.
