In Loving Memory of Sonia Maria Clarke
Sonia Clarke passed away peacefully on October 3, 2026, at the age of 64, leaving behind a lifetime of grace, devotion, and selflessness for others that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Sonia was born in London, England, to parents Marva and Allan Clarke.
Sonia dedicated much of her life to caring for others as a hospice nurse during some of their most difficult moments. Her ability to bring comfort, kindness, and dignity to those nearing the end of life reflected the beautiful heart she carried throughout her own life. She had a special gift for making people feel cared for, heard, and never alone.
Her greatest pride was the family she created with Hanif Darby. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Alesha Darby, and preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Soroya Darby, who passed away last year.
She was dearly loved by her older siblings, Marcia Overton and Joan Hill, as well as her brothers, Brian Clarke and Jamie Clarke. Cherished kinship with her brother-in-law, Willie Hill, and dear nieces and nephews. She held all those she came in contact with in a tender heart, always being there to celebrate their life achievements.
Sonia will be greatly missed.
A Visitation is to be held on Saturday, October 17th, 2026 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 12:30 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, located at 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.
