Ferrer, Abelardo T., a long time resident of Hollywood, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2014, at the age of 87. He was born in Cuba on November 3, 1926, to Abelardo Ferrer and Eloisa Calzada. He is survived by his beloved wife, Oneida Ferrer; his loving children, Abelardo Ferrer, Jorge Ferrer and Nancy Erwin Meinhardt; sisters, Migdalia Egues and Eloisa Mingues; brother, Hugo Ferrer; and grandson, Michael Anthony Quinones. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 12, from 6-8 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Hollywood Boulevard Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, February 13, 12:30 p.m., at Nativity Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Lauderdale Memorial Park Cemetery.
