Colleen and Mary Ann were the older girls in our neighborhood in Hollywood for the years I was 2-7;
and I loved going to visit them at their house. Richard was part of the local group of boys who played together during those years, that included my brothers, Dan & Ted. Mrs Dulude was my mother’s closest friendly neighbor with whom she remained in touch for years after we had to move following the sudden death of our dad, Dr. Greenhouse @ 44.
The last time I was in that area, I discovered her telephone number to have a conversation with her, which she very much appreciated, as did I, being unable to visit her in person.
Those Florida years of our childhood were magical, and the Dulude Family was very much a part of our daily neighborhood lives. My mother never again had a friendly neighbor like her after we moved to St Louis. Dan & Ted
died relatively young, as well. I am the lone surviving Greenhouse, and send to the Dulude family my heartfelt sympathy at the loss of their mother, and feel very lucky to have been able to have a conversation with her at a time that turned out to be a few years before her long life came to a close.With fond memories, from Sally Greenhouse.
