Amy Ann Tighe, 79, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 31, 2014. Amy Ann was predeceased by her husband and best friend- John H. Tighe on May 24, 2013. They celebrated 59 years together after meeting at a church dance in Miami. Together they raised 7 wonderful children, but she always held 8 in her heart. Amy Ann is survived by her 5 sons and their wives, John-Cathy, Thomas – Lisa, Timothy -Roberta, Paul-Jan, and William-Diana. Her 2 daughters Ann Marie Tighe, Kathleen and Ray DeLaRosa. She was loved and treasured by 29 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Paul/Sandy Murch and William Murch. After raising her children, Amy Ann went back to school to become and work as an LPN. Amy Ann was known for her sweet laugh, friendly/kind disposition and how she could turn the smallest event into a major accomplishment! She enjoyed it the most when she was surrounded by her family and all the noise. Sitting and watching everyone’s interactions always put a smile on her face. In her heart she knew “she done good”. Together with the family, and support from Five Star Premier Residents and Vistas Hospice- they made the past year a little easier for Amy Ann. She will be missed by all- “to family!”. Visitation will take place on Friday, June 6, from 6-8 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera University Dr. Chapel. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, June 7, 12:30 p.m. at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church.
