Andrew Fuxa, age 74, a long time resident of Davie, Florida, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Thursday, October 25, 2018. Andrew was born on September 3, 1944, in Cuba, to the late Jose A. Fuxa and Maria Teresa Cortinas. He relocated with his family to south Florida. In this country he found many great opportunities such as attending college, where he was able to achieve an Associate’s Degree. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and honorably served as a Private from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1969. He met the love of life, Julia, they married and raised their two sons in a loving home. Andrew will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, October 29th, 12:00 PM at Nativity Catholic Church, Hollywood. Entombment will follow at Lauderdale Memorial Park Cemetery, Fort Lauderdale. In lieu of flowers, family would like donations to be made in Andrew’s memory to Casa de Oración de Monte Carmelo, 15740 NE 44th Court, Miami Gardens, FL 33054.
