Angelo L. Miranda, 92, of Pembroke Pines, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016. He was born in New Haven, Connecticut, on August 25, 1923. Predeceased by wife of 56 years, Dolores; sisters, Audrey Haywood and Ann Adele Legg; brother Ralph Miranda, Jr and nephew Jimmy. He is survived by son, Danny Miranda and his wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Beverly Davis and her husband, Wayne; granddaughters, Nicole Davis-Mason and her husband, Andrew, Jennifer Rodemick and Samantha Bean; great-grandchildren, Katielynn and Calvin Hajos and Mason Bean; brother, Louis Miranda; nieces, Connie, Theresa and Jill; nephews, Kenny, Martin, John, Scott, Jeff, Greg and George. Angelo attended Miami Edison High School before joining the Navy. He served in World War II as a Landing Craft Operator. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he attended apprentice school and became a licensed plumber. He was a member of the Miami Local 519 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union for 70 years. He was the General Foreman on many high-rise buildings, hospitals and schools in Dade County. He and his wife Dolores enjoyed traveling and spending retired life together. He also enjoyed his weekly card playing games with other retired members of Local 519 and bowling with his family and longtime friend, Ray. His gentleness, kindness and love will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016, from 6-9 p.m. with Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 7:30 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. Funeral Service will be on Friday, August 5, 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
